Ukrainians are asked to be careful not to ignore air raid alerts on May 8-9 due to possible Russian provocations.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy addressed the townspeople. According to him, there is no need to leave Lviv on May 8 and 9.
He announced this in his Telegram channel.
However, Sadovy notes: Lviv residents should take care of shelter in case of an air raid.
“You don’t need to go anywhere from the city. Don’t waste fuel. Leave and check if your shelter is available. If it is closed, then by all possible means, including calling the police, secure yourself a shelter,” the mayor of Lvov emphasized.
In addition, Sadovy gave advice to the residents of the city. In particular, he urged not to trust Russian news and messages in propaganda Telegram channels: “Never trust Moscow news, messages and telegram channels. Let’s agree that they don’t exist for us.”
As reported, since the beginning of the war, on February 24, the Russian army has shelled the Lviv region and the regional center of Lviv more than once. Seven people died in the city in more than two months of a full-scale invasion by the occupying state. In addition, 13 Lviv residents were injured.
