Russia continues to launch rocket attacks on the Odessa region, destroying civilian infrastructure.
According to the head of the region, during May 8, Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down 4 missiles fired by Russian troops. Unfortunately, another one hit a residential building, as a result of which a young girl was injured.
This was announced by the head of the Odessa OV Maxim Marchenko.
“Today, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out a number of missile strikes in the region. Our air defense units managed to shoot down four missiles. But, unfortunately, there was a hit in a residential building, as a result of which a girl was wounded,” he said.
A substation was destroyed in the Bolgradsky district, which is why there is no electricity in six settlements. Civilian facilities and infrastructure facilities of the region were also damaged.
Recall that on the evening of May 8, the Russian Federation fired three missiles along the coast of Odessa from the Black Sea. One was shot down by air defense, the other two hit a residential area, destroying recreation areas. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
