Tomorrow, ZTE will officially present the flagship smartphones of the Axon 40 line, but today live photos have appeared on the Web that allow you to compare the top-end Axon 40 Ultra with the top-end Galaxy S22 Ultra. And, I must say that against the backdrop of the indisputable hit of Samsung, the new ZTE looks very worthy.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will obviously appeal to the champions of a pure screen – without any cutouts and embedded cameras. And indeed such a display looks good. However, the question regarding the quality of photos and videos of the under-screen camera ZTE Axon 40 Ultra is still open. The display of the ZTE novelty is also curved, as in the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but the bezels are narrower. Interestingly, the photos were taken in China, but in the Galaxy S22 Ultra phone book there are Russian names and surnames.
If the main camera of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is represented by four sensors, then in the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra it consists of three modules. The main one is equipped with a 1/1.73-inch Sony IMX787 optical sensor, a 35mm equivalent focal length lens and an optical image stabilization system.
The second module is with the same Sony IMX787 sensor, but already connected to an ultra wide-angle lens with 16 mm EGF. Finally, the third periscope module uses a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B 1/2-inch optical sensor, a 91mm EGF lens, and an optical stabilization system. It is precisely due to the latest module that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra compares favorably with other flagships, in the periscope modules of which sensors with a resolution of 5-8 megapixels are mainly used, and, of course, not so large.
