Greece is helping the Russian Federation to circumvent sanctions, despite attempts by the EU to ban the export of Russian energy resources.
Tankers with Russian oil continue to enter European ports without hindrance.
It is reported by Die Welt.
Greece’s share of Russian oil transportation in April tripled compared to 2021.
According to the insurance company Lloyd’s, 190 tankers left Russian ports in April, 76 of them under the Greek flag. For example, at the end of April, the Greek supertanker Nissos Rhenia loaded Russian oil in the port of the Netherlands and headed for Singapore. The number of shipments to India, China and South Korea also increased. Thus, tankers with Russian oil continue to enter European ports without hindrance, despite EU sanctions.
Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Russia exports 7 million barrels of oil and petroleum products daily.
Earlier it became known that the European Union is close to agreeing on the sixth package of sanctions against Russia. 10,128 financial restrictions were imposed against Russia. This is more sanctions than against Iran, Syria and North Korea. However, the world practice of economic restrictions does not affect the change in the course of dictatorial regimes.
