The journalist will be buried at the Berkovets cemetery.

“The person we are saying goodbye to today is first and foremost a person. This is a man who was always responsible for his words, who went to defend us, who was very kind. And in general, when you start saying that “was” it is, to put it mildly , does not fit in my head … Sasha is a hero,” said Artem Dzhepko, a journalist from the Ukraine TV channel.
TV cameraman of the channel “Ukraine” Vladislav Smolyanets recalled how Makhov worked at the bureau in Luhansk and made materials from the occupied city.
“When he first went to war, he said that he must liberate his land. His dream must come true,” Smolyanets said.
Alexander Makhov – a participant in hostilities, led the podcast “Voyenkor”. In 2020, he became the only representative of the Ukrainian media on board the aircraft that carried out the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Wuhan.
Recall that on May 4, due to shelling by Russian troops, journalist Oleksandr Makhov, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, died . Makhov was born in Lugansk and lived in Kyiv for a long time. Alexander was 36 years old. He met his birthday in April at the front. His unit participated in the battles, in particular, in the Izyum direction.
