Local residents are fleeing en masse from the occupied territories of the Kherson region, because living in unbearable conditions that the Russians have created is very difficult and dangerous.
From Kherson, temporarily captured by the Russians, according to preliminary data, about 45% of people left, from the Kherson region every fifth.
The head of the Kherson OVA, Gennadiy Laguta, said this in an interview with Ukrinform .
“This is a catastrophic figure. The occupiers loot, kill, rape, so civilians cannot stand it, they are very afraid and forced to leave their home,” the head of the UVA said.
According to him, the occupiers were not allowed to make official green corridors, so people, risking their lives, left on their own, organizing in columns.
“First, through Aleksandrovka and Snegirevka. The invaders closed them. Later, people went through Davidov Brid to Krivoy Rog, but for more than a week this road has been closed. I know that in the villages people even walked, on bicycles, swam across the river. left all the property, houses, livestock,” says Laguta.
Most of the residents of the region were evacuated in the Nikolaev and Dnepropetrovsk directions, the head of the administration says.
Earlier it was reported that the invaders shot at the evacuation convoy , which was traveling from Melitopol to Zaporozhye.
