Russia deliberately commits crimes against humanity and genocide in Ukraine.
The Russian Federation hates us and wants to destroy and intimidate Ukrainians so that they create a migration crisis in the EU.
This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmihal in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
“Why is Russia deliberately committing crimes against humanity and genocide here? Of course, they hate us and want to destroy our people. But they also intimidate Ukrainians in order to squeeze them out of Ukraine, in order to create a migration crisis in the European Union,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
According to him, Russia tried to undermine Europe with the influx of refugees from Ukraine.
“They experimented on the migration crisis in the winter, looked at what 4-5 thousand migrants are. And after that they decided to push millions of migrants to Europe. In the Russian Federation, they hoped that Europe would choke and shake because of such a crisis. But Europe withstood it very worthily and accepted all our migrants, especially Poland,” Smihal said.
In his opinion, the majority of Ukrainians who went abroad because of the war want to return to Ukraine.
“We understand that 99% of people want to return to Ukraine after the end of hostilities. These are mainly the wives and children of our men who defend Ukraine at the front. After hostilities stop, of course, families should be reunited. After the war, women will want to return together with the children to Ukraine,” the prime minister summed up.
