The President of France will hold telephone conversations with the Prime Minister of Hungary.
Today, French President Emmanuel Macron will hold telephone conversations with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
This was stated by the Minister for European Affairs of France Clement Bon, writes Reuters.
According to him, the countries of the European Union may come to an agreement to ban all oil imports from Russia.
“I think we can reach an agreement this week,” Clement said.
The day before , Viktor Orban said that Hungary cannot support a new package of European Union sanctions , including an embargo on oil imports from Russia in its current version.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen traveled to Hungary on May 9 to meet with Orban to discuss the oil embargo against Russia.
Recall that in Germany they said that the sixth package of sanctions against Russia is close to being agreed.
