The European Union, in an attempt to impose an embargo on oil , is in difficult negotiations with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who not only categorically does not support it and vetoes it, but is also a long-time ally of Putin.

Orban was repeatedly criticized in Europe for his behavior with the Russian president, because even before the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, when the number of Russian equipment began to increase near the borders of our country, the Hungarian politician met with Putin and categorically refused to criticize Russia’s actions and the policies of the Kremlin.

According to Oleksiy Danilov , Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Hungary about the impending war with Ukraine, Budapest believed that it could take part of Ukrainian territory, probably Transcarpathia. Well, the plan failed, but considering the political career, conservative views, outright sexism and corrupt politics of the Hungarian premier, such actions are not surprising.

But there is another interesting part of his life – personal. Viktor Orban has five children, and, like many Russian politicians and oligarchs , they all lead luxurious lives without denying themselves anything.

Wife and kids

Viktor Orban has been married to lawyer and entrepreneur Aniko Levai since 1986. In this marriage, the couple had five children: Rachel, Gaspar, Sarah, Rosa, Flora. It is known that Aniko is engaged in volunteer and charitable activities, in the framework of which she sometimes makes independent visits to other countries, and is also a goodwill ambassador of the Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Service. During her husband’s tenure, she actively takes part in laying the political ground in Transcarpathia, where she came to open a representative office of the Hungarian humanitarian fund. Also, the wife of the Prime Minister for several years, like her eldest daughter Rahel, has been included in the Forbes list as the most influential women in Hungary.

Favorite daughter

The couple’s eldest daughter, Rahel, is 33 years old and has been married since 2013, however, there are many interesting stories about her in Hungary. In particular, the question is that the girl managed to graduate from quite prestigious and not cheap educational institutions: the University in Budapest, Boston University in the USA, the Italian University of Siena and the French Sorbonne. The girl also studied in the Swiss Lausanne at the Faculty of Tourism of the prestigious Ecole Hoteliere.

The wedding of the eldest daughter of the prime minister and businessman Istvan Tiborch was also luxurious. The couple got married in Budapest, the bride was wearing a laconic dress and a long veil from the Hungarian designer Nora Sarman. The wedding took place in a country complex. Before the start of the ceremony, activists wrote “Royal Wedding” on the walls of the church, painted over these inscriptions almost before the ceremony itself, and it was also claimed that the road leading to the church was repaired at public expense before the wedding.

In 2018, the Hungarians were interested in the question of where she gets the money for all this, to which Rahel replied, of course, that she pays for all her education and travel on her own – from a personal account with her husband. She also noted: “I have a higher economic education, more than three years I have been working in the field of hospitality and tourism.” However, according to The Budapest Beacon , according to the Central Statistical Agency, for the period of 2013, industry workers earned an average of $600 per month, so Orban could not independently pay the cost of her education in Switzerland, and even more so at other universities, as well as wedding.

However, the big question in this story was that the girl’s husband is very closely connected with her father’s politics. After the wedding, the company of Orban’s son-in-law repeatedly won state tenders, as did the company of his son Gaspar. In general, the family business received $8 billion worth of tenders, which amounted to approximately 10% of the value of all government contracts during this time. At the same time, the media admit that from a legal point of view, all contracts were concluded in full accordance with the law, and therefore it is simply impossible to charge Orban with corruption or nepotism.

In the speeches of Viktor Orban himself, the message of the decline of the West is quite often traced, but despite this ego, the beloved eldest daughter, with her husband and three children, moved to live in Spain. There, her children attend an expensive private school. At the same time, Rahel’s husband, Istvan Tiborch, is part of the Hungarian elite and one of the richest people in the country. He owns dozens of companies and real estate, a yacht club and hotels. The Hungarians call him “the son-in-law of the nation”.

But, despite the huge fortune and influence, the couple could not “wash themselves off” from the rather strange story that happened to them in Croatia. Pregnant Rahel was photographed as she threw her used diaper on the side of the road.
