Most of the destroyed objects were found in the Donetsk, Kyiv and Kharkov regions.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the occupiers have destroyed at least 116 religious buildings in Ukraine.
This was reported by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova.
In particular, the Russian invaders destroyed 91 Orthodox churches.
Mosques, synagogues, Catholic and Protestant churches, religious educational institutions and important administrative buildings of religious organizations were also destroyed.
Thus, on the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, the Russian army destroyed the St. George Skete of the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra of the UOC-MP in the Donetsk region with a missile strike. The walls and floors of the building of the Lavra were almost completely destroyed, and the facades of other modern buildings of the monastery were also damaged.
“Deliberate attacks that result in damage or destruction of religious buildings and historical monuments are a war crime under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and articles 4 and 5 of the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict,” Denisova said.
Recall that a cycle of icons dedicated to Mariupol was presented in the Bila Tserkva under the open sky.
