The Office of the Attorney General opened criminal proceedings.
As a result of artillery shelling by Russian troops of a car with civilians near Zaporozhye , one person was killed and one was injured.

According to the investigation, on May 9 near the village. Belogorye Pologovsky district at the checkpoint of the occupiers, a car with two civilians came under enemy fire.
As a result of a direct hit by a projectile, the car exploded. The passenger of the car died on the spot, the driver was injured.
Under the procedural leadership of the Zaporozhye Regional Prosecutor’s Office, criminal proceedings have been initiated on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Recall that the Russians appointed ex-people’s deputy-regional Balitsky as the “governor” of the Zaporozhye region.
