This year, the organizers of Eurovision decided to remove Russia from participation in the song contest. The ban will remain in effect until the country’s political regime changes.
At the same time, it was impossible to appear at the song contest and the Russian delegation.
However, the Russian artist-Putinist Philip Kirkorov was nevertheless “lucky” to get to Turin, where he watched the competition in the VIP box.
As the singer admitted, he was a special guest of the organizers. And they invited Kirkorov for his “merits” at Eurovision.
“At a special invitation for services to Eurovision. I could not deny myself the pleasure of accepting this invitation and not coming here as an independent guest of the organizers of this event,” the singer said on Instagram.
How exactly Kirkorov could get to Eurovision 2022 is still unknown, because the delegation from Russia is prohibited from attending the competition due to the hostile invasion of the Russian military into Ukraine.
Recall that the final of Eurovision-2022 will be held on May 14. It is then that it will become known who will become the winner in the international song contest.
