In the Ternopil region, a 17-year-old resident of Kiev, who left the capital during the hostilities, organized a fraudulent scheme.
The young man led a group of scammers in the region. Together with 11 accomplices, he opened an underground business to organize the departure of men of military age abroad.
This was reported in the press service of the police of the Ternopil region.
Members of the fraudulent group created a telegram channel. The guy and his team were engaged in development, advertising and administration. There they took orders and prepared fake certificates. Services cost an average of a thousand euros.
However, customers did not receive their documents for traveling abroad. The fake certificates were not about unfitness for service, but allegedly about appearing in criminal proceedings. It was this information that was provided to the Uhilyants and indicated that they could not do anything about it. I found out, since this is not a warranty case, so the funds will not be returned.
Thanks to this scheme, the scammers managed to deceive 34 people. They appropriated more than 1.2 million hryvnia.
By the way, one of the victims came to the police with a statement. It took the cyber police a few days to get on the trail of the intruders. Currently, all participants in the scheme are installed. The organizer has been notified of the suspicion.
