The occupation authorities of the “DNR” blocked the residents of the Donetsk region from accessing the social networks Facebook and Instagram. They explained this step as allegedly “protecting the population from threatening information.”
The occupiers said that the American company Meta “allowed in its social networks calls for violence against Russian-speaking users.”
This was reported in the so-called “Ministry of Communications of the DNR”.
“On the territory of the ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’, telecom operators have begun blocking prohibited information that poses a threat to its inhabitants… In particular, access to the information resources of the American company Meta has already been blocked, which allowed calls for violence against Russian-speaking users in its social networks” , the message says.
“In this regard, access to Meta social networks – Facebook and Instagram – on the territory of the “republic” is blocked,” the occupiers’ department added.
Recall that in the temporarily occupied villages and cities of the Zaporozhye region , Russian invaders carry out “registration” of people and change SIM-cards for gasoline.
