Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, spoke about this in a conversation with Russian journalist and human rights activist Mark Feigin.
“A desperate trade begins with the world community and Ukraine for a peace treaty. Because they understood: either a peace treaty or a military defeat. There are no other options,” Arestovich said.
The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office is convinced that it is Ukraine that will dictate the terms, and the more Western assistance comes, “the tougher our voice will be.”
“The problem is different: in principle, we are not committed to negotiations now, and the Russian side accuses us of this. They say that Ukraine does not want to negotiate at all,” he said.
According to Arestovich, President Volodymyr Zelensky does not believe in peace talks with Russia. The head of the OP also notes that the main task is the liberation of the entire territory of Ukraine.
Earlier, Aleksey Arestovich commented on the withdrawal of Russian troops abroad in the Kharkov region .
