The Russian invaders announced the restoration of water supply in Mariupol on May 12, but the city authorities urge residents not to drink this water because of the high concentration of chlorine.
Note that the occupiers announced on Thursday a test launch of the city pumping station in the village. Old Crimea. The invaders claim that the water in Mariupol will flow by gravity and will be enough for the private sector and the first floors of high-rise buildings.
Concerning the situation with water Mariupol residents were warned by the adviser to the mayor Petr Andryushchenko.
“Citizens of Mariupol, all of a sudden you have water in your tap, use it exclusively as technical water. The amount of chlorine in the absence of technology and taking into account the two-month downtime of the system can be fatal. Take care of yourself,” Andryushchenko said on the Web.
He clarified that this water should be used for technical purposes at least for a week.
The adviser to the Mayor of Mariupol also stressed that the launch of the water supply would lead to the overflow of the idle sewer system.
“It is not difficult to calculate what this will lead to. The occupiers decided to simply drown Mariupol in feces literally. The greatest risk in this is the rapid growth of infectious diseases and an increase in mortality. Although it is quite possible that this is part of the occupiers’ plan,” summed up Andryushchenko.
Recall that earlier on May 11, the Mariupol City Council reported that by the end of 2022, more than 10 thousand residents of the city could die from diseases and unbearable conditions.
