President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Russia attacked Ukraine not because of the threat from NATO, but because of fears of internal destabilization.
The head of state is convinced that a strong Ukraine poses a threat to the Kremlin regime.
Zelensky said this during an online conversation with students from leading universities in France.
“They don’t consider us a state, they don’t consider us a people. They want to have 100 percent influence,” he said.
Zelensky acknowledged that the influence of the Russian Federation and its agents was felt in almost all state structures: law enforcement agencies, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense, and parliament. According to him, Putin and his associates are most afraid of destabilization within their country.
“They can see how our state is developing. And, God forbid, that their people see that we live better than people in Russia. Because this will affect destabilization within the Russian Federation,” Zelensky believes.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed creating a nominal state scholarship named after Leonid Kravchuk .
