According to him, the same fate befell Popasnaya, Donetsk region. At the same time, Zhdanov stressed that this is the only area where Russia still retains an offensive potential, and “we have stopped everything else.”

“In fact, Russia is not conducting active operations in other directions today. They do not leave the Kharkov region, but withdraw battalion tactical groups (according to the General Staff, due to significant losses, the 138th separate mechanized brigade of the 6- of the combined arms army of the western military district – ed.) to restore combat capability. They did not just run away. We inflicted such a defeat on them that they were forced to leave, “said the military expert.

He added that now the Russian BTGs withdrawn from the Kharkiv region will replenish personnel, equipment and weapons.

“And in a few weeks we will see them again on the territory of Ukraine. They didn’t go far and for a long time. That’s the problem,” Zhdanov said.

Recall that the Ministry of Defense explained that they behave with restraint in forecasts for the war with Russia , because any statements can negatively affect, namely, correct the actions of the enemy.
