The Armed Forces of Ukraine won the first phase of the war with Russia, but there is still a long stage of struggle ahead until the complete cleansing of Ukraine.
Despite the fact that Ukraine won the first phase of the war with Russia, the occupiers still have many resources that they can use in the near future.
This was stated by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar at a press conference on May 11.
According to her, the main task of the Russian Federation was to capture Kyiv in a few days and take the entire state under full control. This was the first phase of the war, and Russia failed to fulfill it – the enemy not only did not achieve any of the goals, but also suffered heavy losses.
“A huge number of enemy troops were concentrated around Kyiv and the region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine dealt an absolute blow to the enemy and the first phase was won by Ukraine. After that, the enemy began to use other tactics and strategies in the war with Ukraine. A difficult and lengthy stage of the struggle lies ahead of us until the complete cleansing of our countries and the establishment of sovereignty within state borders. Because Russia still has a lot of resources that it can use in the near future,” Malyar said.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense warned the Ukrainians about the difficult period in the war with the Russian Federation.
