Residents of Mariupol and people from the Mariupol region who have not been “filtered” are kept by the occupiers in the prisons of Donetsk.
The invaders are torturing civilians.
This was announced by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova.
“It became known that Ukrainians who have not been filtered and are recognized as “unreliable” in filtration camps near Mariupol are being taken to the premises of the former penal colony No. 52 in the village of Olenevka, Donetsk region, or to the infamous Izolyatsia prison in Donetsk,” she said.
The occupiers keep people in inhuman conditions. The colony is designed to accommodate 850 people. According to Denisova, the invaders have imprisoned at least 3,000 people from Mariupol and the Mariupol region.
The occupiers torture the prisoners, threaten them with executions and force them to cooperate.
“Some captives are released after 36 days, after being forced to sign some papers. There are also reports of mass disappearances of people after interrogations,” Denisova added.
Recall that the invaders posted on the Web a video of the interrogation of a resident of Oleshka, abducted by them in the Kherson region, Sergei Moroz. The video recorded torture with the use of electric current.
