Meghan Markle once again decided to support women, in particular, women who are raising children in the United States.
The Duchess of Sussex drew attention to the crisis associated with childcare in the United States, emphasizing that this is not a family problem, but a state problem. Women have to think about how to survive while taking care of their child, and often these two things simply cannot be combined. We are talking about paid leave for young mothers.
Duchess Meghan and her Archewell Foundation have joined the #MarshallPlanForMoms organization, which announced the creation of the “National Baby Care Business Coalition”. The goal of the project is to expand childcare support for working mothers.
“Families around the world, and especially working moms, have to take on so much,” Meghan, 40, who has two young children, said in a statement. “This has only been exacerbated by the pandemic, with increasing caregiving responsibilities, rising costs and economic uncertainty. Today we are signaling that caring for children is not just a societal imperative, it is a business imperative. Building a stronger workforce starts with meeting the needs of families,” the Duchess said.
The director of the #MarshallPlanForMoms organization posted part of Meghan’s message on Instagram and wrote that she was honored that the Archewell Foundation had joined their team.
As reported by People , #MarshallPlanForMoms was among the organizations that received donations in late 2021 from the Meghan and Harry Foundation, it was announced when the family released their Christmas card, where the couple’s two children were first introduced to the public.
And in October 2021, Meghan Markle shared an open letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer published by Paid Leave for All .
The letter was written in support of a comprehensive paid leave program for new parents. Megan shared her concerns about the fact that the country still does not have a full paid parental leave.
