The Ukrainian side is negotiating with the Russian Federation on the evacuation of only 38 seriously wounded (lying) fighters who are at Azovstal in Mariupol.
Vice Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk refuted the statements of a number of media outlets about the alleged exchange of 500 or 600 people.
She announced this on social media.
“We are working step by step. We will exchange 38 heavy ones, then we will move on. Now there are no negotiations on the exchange of 500 or 600 people, as reported by some media,” the head of the Ministry of Reintegration noted.
She added that negotiations on the evacuation of seriously wounded soldiers from Azovstal in exchange for captured Russians are very difficult.
“Unfortunately, the public comments of some politicians, journalists and public figures regarding the content of the negotiations not only misinform and disorientate the society, but also harm the negotiation process. I beg you. This is about people’s lives. Refrain from public comments about what you do not know. If everything works out and we get people out, then do whatever you want. And now I ask you to be responsible and not interfere, “Vereshchuk urged.
Recall that Ukraine offered Russia a new option for the evacuation of seriously wounded soldiers from Azovstal. In exchange for the defenders of Mariupol, Ukraine will give up the infidels.
