On the evening of May 12, due to severe bad weather in Kyiv, the 400-year-old linden tree of Peter Mohyla, which is a natural monument, broke down. However, according to the preliminary assessment of experts, it will be possible to save it.
This was reported to the KSCA.
In addition to the old linden, which grows at the beginning of Andreevsky Descent near the National Museum of History, more than 200 trees were damaged in the capital. Territory surveys are ongoing. Solomensky and Svyatoshinsky districts suffered the most.
“Specialists of the KP UZN of the Shevchenkovsky district, together with arborists, examine the tree in detail and determine the ways of its (tree – ed.) salvation,” the message says.
Recall that on Friday, May 14, in many regions of Ukraine there will be short-term rains, in places with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
