The musicians of the folk rap group Kalush Orchestra made it to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Stefania. Initially, the leader of the group dedicated the song to his mother, but since the outbreak of the war for many, both in Ukraine and abroad, it has become associated with Ukrainian resistance to the Russian invasion.

Not all members of the group will represent Ukraine at Eurovision. Some of the musicians chose to go to the front. About how it is to prepare for a performance at Eurovision during the war, the band members told the BBC.
