On May 13, the Solomensky District Court in Kyiv began hearings on the case of the Russian military Vadim Shishimarin.
The first trial on war crimes of infidels began in Kyiv. Russian Vadim Shishimarin is accused of killing a civilian in the Sumy region.

The case will be heard by the Collegium of the Solomensky District Court of Kyiv. On May 13, she scheduled the proceedings for consideration. The next meeting will take place on May 18.
The Russian was assigned a free lawyer and translator. He is charged with two articles: murder and violation of the laws and customs of war.
So far, neither the defendant nor the defender have voiced their position.
At the same time, prosecutor Yaroslav Uschapovsky said that during the investigation, Shishimarin admitted his guilt, repented and cooperated with the investigation.
The prosecutor claims that the guilt of the Russian army man is proved not only by his words, but also by examinations and testimonies. Among other things, the investigation seized the weapon used by Shishimarin, as well as the weapons of other people who were with him in the car.

Vadim Shishimarin is 21 years old. He served in the 4th Panzer Kantemirovskaya Division of the Moscow Region. He was the commander of a tank division. According to investigators, on February 28, he killed an unarmed resident of the Chupakhivka village in the Sumy region, who was driving a bicycle along the side of the road. Subsequently, Shishimarin was taken prisoner.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the state would insist on an international tribunal for Russian war criminals, but there are Ukrainians who will look for the occupiers on their own. The tribunal over the Russian occupiers can last for a long time and people will not have enough patience.
