Kyiv Metro plans to replace Russian-made cars. Of the total 821 that are currently in operation, there are 726 of them.
This was reported to Segodnya by the Deputy Head of the Metro Natalya Makogon.
“While the war is going on, we cannot give an exact date for the complete replacement of Russian-made cars , but we cannot waste time now and not think about the future ,” Makogon said.
According to her, the International Association of Public Transport, of which the Kiev Metro has become a member, can help with the replacement of the rolling stock.
Now the utility company is planning to remove the plates of Russian manufacturing plants from the cars .
Recall that in Kyiv they intend to rename several metro stations. To do this, the metropolitan metro has created an open Google form, in which 170,000 people have already made their choice. However, there are already problems with this.
