The Queen’s Instagram account has once again shared a new snapshot of the monarch marking her 70th year of reign.
Every day on Instagram, Elizabeth II publishes photos that mark each year of the Queen’s reign . Today, a snapshot from 2002 was presented.
2002 The Queen admires corgis in Manitoba during her two-week Golden Jubilee Tour of Canada. In their Golden Jubilee year, Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh covered over 40,000 miles in the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK.
Also in 2002, Manchester hosted the 17th Commonwealth Games.
The account previously reported that over the next 70 days, there would be a countdown to the celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. Yesterday we showed you photos from 2001.
