Zelensky called the first step that the Russian Federation should take for negotiations, and told what kind of peace Ukraine wants
Russia in negotiations with Ukraine must take the first clear step.
President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about this in an interview with the Italian TV channel Rai1.
He also told what kind of peace Ukraine wants.
“Respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, traditions, people, language. Respect for people, society and the independence of our state. I just said banal things, but it was all these ordinary normal things that the Russian Federation violated. And for this you need to restore them – withdraw your troops from our land. There are no our troops on the territory of the Russian Federation. Withdraw troops, de-occupy our houses, I’m not talking about the need to return all the loot from ordinary houses,” the head of state said.
The President also noted that the Ukrainian side will not make any compromises regarding its independence.
“In negotiations, we are ready to say – at least withdraw from the territory that you occupied starting from the 24th. Yes, you will continue to stand in some of our temporarily occupied territories, unfortunately, but this is the first understandable step to talk about something say, let’s do it. We don’t hear an answer to this question,” Zelensky summed up, adding that there would be reparations, trials, sentences.
Also, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he was ready for a dialogue with Russian announcer Vladimir Putin. Nevertheless, this dialogue should be without intermediaries and Russian ultimatums.
