A 42-year-old Russian woman living in Monaco wanted to promote herself in the war, but as a result, she only disgraced herself with her outfit and ridiculous statements.
In connection with the war in Ukraine, this year the road to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival was closed to Russians – the country’s delegation was not invited, and the only film that was shown at the festival was Kirill Serebrennikov ‘s “Tchaikovsky’s Wife”. But nevertheless, the Russian journalist and TV presenter Victoria Bonya appeared on the track, however, it was not without scandal.
On the first day of her appearance, Victoria caused indignation among the public that she was allowed to walk the red carpet at all, since on the same day President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke to the guests of the festival via video link. And Bonya is known for being photographed patriotically in a bathing suit with Putin and repeatedly supporting him and other Kremlin politicians. During the war in Ukraine, which Russia unleashed, criticizes Ukraine.
Many photographers did not even want to shoot her – the network spread around the photo where Victoria is posing, and not a single photographer behind her is taking pictures of her.
Boni’s presence in Cannes on May 17 coincided with the premiere of Mariupoli 2, a documentary about life in Mariupol under Russian occupation and bombardment. The Lithuanian film director Mantas Kvedaravičius died tragically while working on this film.
Also, a few weeks ago, when the Russians began to boycott the Chanel brand due to their departure from Russia, rich Russian women began to cut the accessories of this fashion house. Joined this strange action and Bonya. A 42-year-old Russian woman recorded a video in which she cut an expensive bag.
“If the House of Chanel does not respect its Russian clients, why should we respect the House of Chanel? Bye-bye,” the Russian woman said.
On May 22, Viktoria was again supposed to appear on the red carpet of Cannes, but she was not allowed to go there. The TV presenter nevertheless decided to speak out about the war, but in a very strange way – to go out in a tuxedo, with a mustache, and a bag on which there was an inscription: “There would be no wars if men gave birth.”
Allegedly, with her slogan, she wanted to draw attention to the problem of discrimination against women in Russia, but the blogger did not specify how she discriminates against them. At the same time, she did not express a word of support for Ukraine, where people die every day at the hands of Russian soldiers.
“Today I was asked to leave the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival … Since I am a law-abiding citizen, I left! I didn’t want to break through there stealthily, hiding my clutch, I walked with my head held high! , then there will be too many publications in the press. That’s all they argued for me to refuse to go out to photographers. But I’ll leave it here, because my message today was from all women! A woman is only responsible for peace in this world! “, – the Russian woman wrote.
