President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, called on the West to impose an embargo on Russian oil, to block Russian banks and the IT sector.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that this should be such a precedent of sanctions pressure that will work for decades to come in support of peace.
“Do not expect fatal shots, do not wait for Russia to use special weapons, chemical, biological, nuclear, God forbid. Do not give the aggressor the illusion that the world is not resisting enough. Protect immediately to the maximum freedom and normal order in the world. This is how sanctions should be: maximum, so that Russia and every other potential aggressor who wants to go to a brutal war against a neighbor knows clearly right away what this will lead to, ”Zelensky said.
Recall, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the Law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine to Improve the Effectiveness of Sanctions Related to the Assets of Individuals”, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on May 12, 2022.
