The former head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry, Karin Kneissl , has submitted her resignation from her position as a member of the board of directors of Rosneft.
This was reported by the Russian oil company.
According to a press release, the decision comes into force on May 20. The document refers to the refusal to extend Kneisl’s powers on the company’s board of directors for a second term.
Kneisl headed the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2017-2019.
Karin Kneissl joined the board of directors of Rosneft in June 2021. She also became famous for dancing with Kremlin head Vladimir Putin at her own wedding in 2018.
Recall that the head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry remembered his predecessor and said that he would not dance with Putin.
