Boris Bondarev, Russia’s adviser to the UN in Geneva, criticized the policy of degradation of the pro-Putin regime and decided to resign.
In particular, the Russian diplomat criticized the Russian Foreign Ministry and its head Sergei Lavrov . Bondarev noted that Lavrov is “a good example of how Russia’s political system has degraded.”
Hill Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a human rights NGO and UN monitoring group, said so in a resignation letter.
Also in the document, Russia’s adviser to the UN in Geneva condemned Russia’s military actions in Ukraine and said that he “has never been so ashamed of his country.” In addition, he also mentioned the threats of the Russian Federation to launch a nuclear strike and condemned such statements by Russia.

According to Hillel Neuer, the UN called on all other Russian diplomats in the United Nations and around the world to follow Bondarev’s example and resign.
