The OnePlus Nord 2T was unveiled in the UK, one of the brand’s strangest smartphones in recent memory, from its cryptic launch approach, when sales started well before the launch, to its asymmetric camera design and level of improvement over the Nord 2 . To be precise, there are only two technical improvements here, and one of them is extremely conditional: the Dimensity 1300 replaced the Dimensity 1200 ( there are no architectural and frequency differences between the chips), and the 65-W charging was overclocked to 80 W.
The rest of the Nord 2T is still the same Nord 2, obviously showing poor sales due to its explosive reputation and stale in warehouses. The same body and chassis (which explains such a strange camera design), 6.43″ AMOLED screen (90Hz), 50MP main camera with OIS, 8MP wide and 2MP pop-up, as well as a 4500 mAh battery and even the volume switch on the end.
Even funnier, OnePlus is touting the volume switch on the end as a feature that fans have been asking for (against the backdrop of the recent OnePlus 10R ). Another difference was the software base: out of the box, the newcomer runs OxygenOS 12.1 with Android 12 at the core. The price tags, fortunately, have not changed: €399 and €499 for the 8/128 and 12/256 GB versions. OnePlus Nord 2T will go on sale May 24th.
