Last year, it was announced that Prince Harry was writing a memoir about his royal and no longer royal life. The Duke of Sussex’s candid book was supposed to be released at the end of 2022. But everything has changed.
The publishers said they have “tentatively scheduled” the book for release in late 2022. However, there is now confusion about when the memoir will actually hit the bookshelves.
The Times royal editor Roya Nikha says a Penguin Random House spokesperson has confirmed that the book does not yet have a publication date and has not confirmed if the book will be released this year at all.
Thus, the royal family, which is now preparing for large-scale celebrations of the platinum anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, has nothing to worry about. Since the public will not be able to read what the prince will write about in the book, which means that this will not harm the monarchy in any way now.
Recall that 37-year-old Prince Harry received a multi-million dollar advance (they wrote about $ 20 million) for these memoirs, which he planned to spend on charity. He worked on Harry’s book with the American writer J. R. Mehringer.
The book was planned to follow the prince’s youth, the tragic death of his mother Princess Diana in 1997, military service and Afghanistan, meeting his wife Meghan Markle, and “the joy he found in being a husband and father.” . Royal fans expect the book to also cover the time period when Harry and his brother William were at odds.
Perhaps now the book will also include a chapter on how the celebrations of the platinum anniversary of Harry’s grandmother , Queen Elizabeth II, will go.
