President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called on the world to properly respond to the actions of the aggressor country.
He stressed that now Russia is bringing hunger, despair and poverty to the world, and this must be avoided.
This was announced on May 23 during an online speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
“George Marshall said these words back in 1947: Our policy is not against any country or doctrine, but against hunger, poverty, despair and chaos. Its goal should be to revive a working economy in the world to allow the emergence of political and social conditions in which free institutions can exist. These words are still relevant today. My proposals are also directed against hunger, poverty, despair and chaos And against the war unleashed by Russia and bringing hunger, poverty, despair and chaos in its wake. And not only to us, therefore, in order to guarantee peace and tranquility, we all must act quickly and preventively, we must not be afraid to create new precedents so that the world acts preventively. Therefore, now we can do it differently: finally, the right thing,” the president said.
Note that the speech of President Zelensky in Davos ended with applause.
Recall that tens of thousands of lives could have been saved in Ukraine if the world had provided weapons in time. Also now Ukraine needs at least 5 billion dollars a month to keep the economy in the conditions of war.
