During the period of preferential customs clearance of cars during martial law – from April 9 to May 19 – 94,420 cars were brought to Ukraine.
This was announced in his Telegram channel by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
It is noted that the average year of manufacture of cars is 2008 , the average price of an imported car is $4,632 . The total amount of tax and duty benefits is UAH 10.5 billion .
So, the top ten popular models of imported cars included:
- Volkswagen Passat (5 654 cars),
- Volkswagen Golf (4542),
- Skoda Octavia (3483),
- Audi A6 (2414),
- Volkswagen Touran (2309),
- Renault Megane (2302),
- Audi A4 (2282),
- Opel Zafira (2088),
- Ford Focus (1863)
- Opel Astra (1782).
The rating of the most expensive cars that were imported into Ukraine during zero customs clearance was also published:
- Mercedes-Benz G500 (two cars for $290,000 each),
- Mercedes-Benz G63 ($248,000),
- Ferrari Roma ($221,000)
- McLaren 570S Spider ($186,000)
- Toyota Land Cruiser 20 ($177,000).
Currently, the majority of imported cars are ordinary passenger models, but most of them are station wagons. There are more than half of them. Another 20% are crossovers and SUVs. Most of the imported cars are inexpensive cars, including those for the army. Cars over 10 years old account for 2/3 of all imported cars. More or less new under the age of 5 years – 13%, 6-10 years old – 22%.
We add that in early April, the Verkhovna Rada exempted all vehicles imported into the country from customs duties. Ukrainians were exempted from paying VAT, excise duty and import duty when clearing cars.
This was done in order to quickly deliver vehicles for the army, terrorist defense and all humanitarian and military needs. And also to restore the fleet of ordinary Ukrainians, whose cars were destroyed as a result of hostilities.
