Ukrainian footballer Oleksandr Boyko gave his life defending his homeland from invaders.

Oleksandr Boyko, a football player of Cherkassy Cossacks and Chervonaya Sloboda amateur clubs of Cherkasy region, died in battles with Russian occupiers, the press service of the Dnipro MSC reports.
The tragedy occurred on Sunday, May 22.
Recall that in the battles near Volnovakha, Donetsk region, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Shestak, who was one of the leaders of the Cherkasy Cossacks football team, was killed .
