AMD officially announced the Ryzen 7000 processors at Computex 2022. The main details leaked to the Web just before the official event , and now they have been confirmed. In particular: Single-threaded performance will increase by 15% – according to the test in Cinebench R23 and in comparison with the Ryzen 9 5950X. One might think that the increase in the execution of multiple threads will be even more significant. At least AMD claims that the new flagship of the line is 31% faster than the Core i9-12900K in Blender . That is, the positioning of the Ryzen 7000 is still the same – these are processors for gamers, people who work professionally with graphics, and enthusiasts.
The Ryzen 7000 CPU is represented by two processor chiplets made according to the 5nm process technology (and, of course, with the Zen 4 architecture), a graphics core based on the RDNA 2 architecture and a 6nm I/O crystal. Declared doubling the cache memory of the second level – up to 1 MB per core. The built-in RAM controller will provide support for DDR5-6000 MHz, there is also a PCIe 5.0 bus controller.
Rumors of an increase in TDP have been confirmed: the maximum value for the top models of the series will be 170 watts. The CPUs will be represented by the LGA1718 version, their compatibility with processor coolers for the AM4 socket has been confirmed. Traditionally, there is neither a list of representatives of the line, nor prices. Ryzen 7000 will go on sale this fall.
