While monitors with frame rates over 240Hz are still rare, Asus took the ROG Swift 500Hz model and showed it. As you might guess, with a frame rate of 500 Hz!
At the moment, the maximum value is 360 Hz, so there is an impressive jump. The monitor is coming out as part of Nvidia’s G-Sync initiative, which means it will support the corresponding technology.
The monitor is positioned as a solution for eSports, which is logical, since the average gamer is unlikely to feel those same 500 Hz.
As for the rest of the parameters, the monitor is based on a 24-inch TN panel with Full HD resolution. Of course, this may seem outdated, but still we are talking about a professional tool, so for potential users, this is not all minuses. But the release date on the market is still unknown. It is possible that the monitor will be released only at the end of the year.
