Updated: The first photo of a simplified version of Lada Granta Drive Active has appeared .
According to Drom.ru, citing a source from the Lada distribution network, AvtoVAZ plans to offer two fixed configurations of the so-called “anti-sanction” version of the Lada Granta.
No comfort enhancements are expected in the base version, but the more expensive variant will have electric power steering and power windows. AvtoVAZ plans to produce at least 20,000 “anti-crisis” grants every month.
Earlier it was reported that Lada Granta will receive a number of simplifications, as well as the old steering wheel from the already discontinued Kalina model. Such cars will lose the ERA-GLONASS block, standard multimedia system and basic electronic systems like ABS and ESP. They will be equipped with a low-emission VAZ-11182 atmospheric engine with a capacity of 90 hp.
To date, AvtoVAZ has already assembled nine such cars, including six sedans and three station wagons. All of them have been sent for mandatory certification, after which simplified configurations will receive a Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) and enter the market.
Deliveries of such machines should begin in June.
