The expert gave a forecast when the situation with fuel in Ukraine will stabilize

The supply of fuel must increase by at least 50% to normalize the market.

Ukraine may reach normal levels of diesel trade within a month, while petrol may take a little longer.

Andrey Pivovarsky, director of WOG Holding BV, spoke about this in the Orestocracy project, UBR reports .

So, in order to provide Ukrainian consumers with the proper amount of fuel, supplies should increase from the current 15,000 tons per day to a minimum of 22,000 tons, and taking into account the needs of the army and farmers, reserves should be almost doubled to 25-27,000 tons.

“In order to reach a normal level of consumption, it is necessary to import about 22,000 tons per day. If we talk about all distribution channels, and this also about the needs of the army, farmers, and the like, then rhythmically 25-27 thousand tons of product per day,” Pivovarsky explains.

The director of WOG said that in three months the supply of fuel from Europe was increased almost tenfold, from 1.5-2 thousand tons in February to 15 thousand tons in May, and now these volumes are increasing daily.

Thus, according to the expert’s forecast, Ukraine will reach a normal level of diesel fuel supply within a month, however, it may take a little longer to provide the necessary gasoline volumes for the market, given the more complex automotive logistics.

“Regarding the 95th, the situation here is more complicated. Here the question is not only to deliver, but also to find, buy. In Europe, there is a shortage of the 95th. From what I see now, it will take more than a month. But every day we have a positive trend We are importing more,” Pivovarsky stressed.

Recall that in Ukraine at the end of April there was a shortage of fuel at gas stations. To resolve the situation on April 29, the government raised the marginal prices for gasoline and diesel fuel by 40-43%. On May 17 the government suspended price regulation on the fuel market . According to the Cabinet of Ministers, after this decision, the expected marginal prices for diesel fuel will not exceed UAH 58 per liter, and gasoline prices will not exceed UAH 52 per liter.
