Military expert, former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Mykola Malomuzh believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin should be afraid of an attempt on his life.
According to him, they may try to kill the Kremlin dictator when his position is shaken due to military failures in Ukraine.
General Mykola Malomuzh said this on the air of the Youtube channel “Ukraine 24”.
The former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine said that Putin fears “either those people who worked with him and have some problems today, or the military and special services who do not agree with Putin.”
“Are there any preconditions for such an assassination attempt in the future? I think there is, because the majority of Putin’s entourage understands that he has gone very far, that there are no prospects not only for Putin, but also for Russia, and the environment will respond. The leadership of the National Security Council and defense – Patrushev and Medvedev, the head of the FSB Bortnikov and other leaders participating in the “special operation”, but actually committing war crimes, will be held accountable on a par with Putin … It is clear that these people can pose a threat,” Malomuzh explained.
The intelligence general believes that now there are no persons in Putin’s entourage who could make an attempt on his life. However, when Russia’s losses at the front become even greater, and the defeat of the occupying army approaches, then “the security forces may rise up against Putin.”
“These are the prerequisites when a terrorist attack can be committed by a group of people – when there is a clear loss, when Putin weakens, then, accordingly, they will look for real ways out of the situation and justify themselves in some way, for example, by neutralizing Putin. And this there could be a real terrorist attack,” Malomuzh stressed.
Earlier, the head of intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov told how and when Putin decided to start the war.
Recall that on February 24, Russia attacked Ukraine, inflicting a series of missile and air strikes on our cities, including Kyiv. The large-scale invasion has been going on for 90 days.
