Russia will not have an open coup d’état.
However, the financial elites that have lost some of their wealth due to Western sanctions may carry out a shadow coup.
Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said this in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
According to the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Putin’s inner circle, who lost their money due to sanctions, is probably already looking for a replacement for the dictator. They believe that if they remove Putin, accusing him of a war, the West may agree to lift sanctions on Russia.
At the same time, the majority of the Russian military support the “special operation”, but they do not want to fight anymore because of the heavy losses of the Russian army. The Russian special services also supported the Russian war against Ukraine in order to hide the massive embezzlement of money that should have been directed to the formation of a Russian intelligence network in Ukraine. They planned to take Kiev in three days, and finish the “special operation” in ten days. At the same time, Russian businessmen, aware of their losses, want to end the war.
“They are losing money, and this is a lot of money. Therefore, they are against it. However, they do not dare to speak openly about it to Putin. Such conversations are being held among themselves. Such conversations are taking place even between business and the security forces, between business and politicians. That’s all there is.” – said Budanov.
Recall that in 2023 Vladimir Putin will no longer be president of the Russian Federation . Against the background of statements that he is losing control of power due to illness, he will be sent to a sanatorium for treatment “from which he will no longer leave as the leader of Russia.”
