As it became known, the vision of the Troubles (at least in 2020, which is the date of the presentation) included the execution by the Russian prince Yuri Miloslavsky (the main character) of various types of quests for leveling and progressing through the plot.

As the main guidelines, the developers called the Assassin’s Creed series (open world, stealth, combos) and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (character development system, extensive arsenal, crafting and an abundance of quests).

Cyberia Limited promised to reconstruct the main battles of the Time of Troubles in Russia, including the battles of Kromy and Zaraisk, the sieges of Troitsk, Smolensk and Pskov, as well as the Moscow uprising of 1611, in Smoot.

The plot of “The Troubles” was planned to be divided into nine “non-linearly interconnected campaigns” . The story begins in the time of Boris Godunov (1601), and ends with the Russian-Swedish war (1617).

In addition to Miloslavsky, it will be possible to play in “Trouble” for the monk Agathon, the disgraced princess Xenia Godunova, as well as representatives of the enemy camp – Marina Mnishek, two False Dmitrys and King Sigismund III.

Players will use melee (primary) and firearms (secondary) weapons, powder charges and mines. Improvement of skills occurs depending on the frequency of the use of certain combos.

In addition, Troubles promised real-life (or existed) locations, agile bosses, different types of tasks (including the ability to rob caravans), alternative historical events, competitive and cooperative multiplayer.

It was planned to release Troubles on consoles (the game at the time of the presentation was focused on consoles of the previous generation) and PC, and after the release – to actively support (including DLC).

500,000 copies should have been enough to pay off the Troubles, but the developers had more optimistic scenarios

Two years after that presentation, the creators of “Trouble” are guided by the middle segment (AA) and Ghost of Tsushima , and the historical novel by Mikhail Zagoskin “Yuri Miloslavsky, or Russians in 1612” is called as the basis.

Cyberia Limited was founded in 2015 and has not yet released any of its own games (but has been fulfilling orders for foreign partners). The Troubles is currently expected to release in 2024.
