Publisher Square Enix and developer PlatinumGames have shared details and dates for the second content season of their co-op fantasy action game Babylon’s Fall.

As it became known, the second season of Babylon’s Fall is called The Light of Aaru and will begin on May 31. The update will bring with it a fresh story chapter and quests (over 80 in total), a battle pass, a type of weapon (pistol) and an element (the sun).

The Light of Aaru will last until November 29 – that is, six months. The Babylon’s Fall seasons were designed to last three months, and the upcoming one is no exception. New content will stop coming after August 29th.

The developers will spend an additional three months preparing for the next patch and reevaluating the development schedule, taking into account the criticism received from gamers. In the appeal , the team apologized, which makes the players wait.

Babylon’s Fall debuted March 3rd on PC (Steam), PS4 and PS5. The game could not conquer the profile press (from 41 to 46% on Metacritic ), nor captivate users (online on Steam dropped literally to zero after just two months).
