The official release of Diablo Immortal is expected in about a week – June 2. However, the Gameinformer resource demonstrated the gameplay to interested gamers even before the release, and also talked to the developers.
The gameplay video is accompanied by interviews with lead game designer Joe Grubb and senior game designer Scott Burgess. They talked about the history of the Diablo Immortal universe, some big atrocities, returning characters, class changes, and soundtrack. Players are promised “even more evil”, various dungeon and boss mechanics. However, the developers abandoned the traditional chapter structure of previous games. But the story will continue to develop after the launch of the game, which should keep the interest of the players.
Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play MMORPG set after the events of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. The game will be available online only and will feature new characters, storylines and additional content as part of a “living, breathing and ever-evolving experience”.
Diablo Immortal will be released on June 2 for Android and iOS mobile platforms. On the same day, the open beta test of the game on PC will be launched.
