Serial 1, founded almost two years ago from a division of Harley-Davidson, introduced the >Bash/Mtn, its first electric mountain bike (eMTB). This premium off-road model will be produced in a limited edition of only 1,050 pieces. The price of the novelty is $3999.
The Bash/Mtn received a frame similar to the Mosh/Cty model, which is called the “urban bike”. Also, the new premium model retains many Mosh/Cty features, including the Gates Carbon Drive belt, Brose S Mag mid-drive motor, TRP hydraulic disc brakes, internally routed cables and wires, and integrated LED lighting.
However, unlike the Mosh/Cty, it has Michelin E-Wild studded tires and a spine-friendly SR Suntour NCX seatpost. Also distinguishing the Bash/Mtn from other Serial 1 models is the Yucca Tan paint job with special Gloss Graffiti graphics.
In addition, thanks to a new agreement with Google, the Serial 1 app will display all travel data and other metrics to users.
The removable 529 Wh battery provides a range of 30-95 miles (48-153 km) on a single charge, depending on the riding mode. This is a class 1 electric bike without a throttle, which allows speeds up to 20 miles per hour (32 km/h). The Serial 1 didn’t list a power rating, but with 90Nm of torque, it will allow you to climb steep hills effortlessly.
In total, the company will produce 1,050 Bash/Mtn units: 525 units for the US market and 525 for Europe.
