The WWDC developer conference is in a few days, and more and more rumors and news are appearing, which will be interesting to show Apple.
One of the big news will be the launch of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. The data was leaked by Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg analyst who reveals the latest data coming to him from Apple every week.
Gurman spoke about the new products that you can expect from iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, including:
- “Always-on display” for iOS 16. Android mobile devices have for years offered “always-on” screens that, even when locked, show the time, battery level, and even icons to show that notifications or messages received. An option that was only available on the Apple Watch for a while is finally coming to the iPhone, but not for everyone. According to Gurman, this will be an exclusive option for the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max thanks to the hypothetical release of LPTO screens.
- Resizable windows in iPadOS 16. New data shows that the iPad will have a feature that will improve the multitasking capabilities of these devices: a system setting that will give access to the ability to completely freely resize windows.
- More “social” messages. The iOS/iPadOS messaging app will see improvements to audio messages as well as some social media features, though no details on these options are provided.
- interactive widgets. These new widgets let you control your music, home automation devices, and other products and services without having to open their respective apps.
- Notification system. It is not yet known how it will change, but perhaps it will be an interactive improvement on the current one.
- More privacy. iCloud Private Relay encryption could become the standard for all users.
- Redesigned apps for Mac. The operating system will receive several redesigned applications and system settings to better match the settings on iOS.
WWDC 2022 will begin next Monday , June 6th and will be held entirely digitally.
