The most iconic series of POCO smartphones, which started a few years ago with the hit Pocophone F1 , is waiting for replenishment. The first live shots of POCO F4 and a pair of its rear panels in alternative colors have surfaced on the Web. At first glance, the device recognizes the recent Redmi K50 , but don’t be deceived: unlike the previous POCO F3 , which was a rebrand of Redmi K40 , POCO F4 is a rebrand of Redmi K40S . And he, as we remember, was an easy upgrade of the K40.
This is indicated by information from sources that mention the good old Snapdragon 870 as a chipset. But there will be at least one difference: the resolution of the main camera has been increased from 48 megapixels to 64 megapixels. True, this can hardly be called an upgrade – if Redmi K40S is talking about the Sony IMX582, then in the case of POCO F4, a 64-megapixel analogue of OmniVision is used. Fortunately, judging by the inscription on the camera block, OIS stabilization has not disappeared. Auxiliary sensors are the same: 8-megapixel wide and 2-megapixel macro cap. Other specs are likely to remain unchanged: 6.67″ flat 120Hz AMOLED screen, 67W 4500mAh battery charging and stereo speakers. The POCO F4 will likely be announced in the coming weeks.
