With thousands of items forgotten in cars around the world every day, Uber allows users to report the loss directly in the app, 24/7. Through the application, the passenger contacts the driver who drove him and agrees on the transfer of the found item. In addition, you can leave a voice message describing the lost item and the driver will contact you.
The best way to return a forgotten item is to call the driver. Here’s what to do:
- Click “Your Trips” and select the trip you left something on
- Scroll down and click “Retrieve Lost Items”
- Click “Contact Driver for Lost Items”
- Scroll down and enter your contact phone number. Click the Submit button.
If you forgot your phone, enter a friend’s phone number (you can do this by logging into your account on a computer or using a friend’s phone). Uber will call the number provided and connect you directly with your driver. If your driver answers and confirms that he has found your item, agree on a convenient time and place for both of you to meet. If your driver does not answer, please leave a detailed voice message describing the item and a convenient way to contact you.
